Die Post Metal-Band GROWTH hat mit „Cigarette Burns“ einen zweiten Track mitsamt Video von ihrem kommenden Album „The Smothering Arms of Mercy“ veröffentlicht.
Zum Video meint Sänger Luke Frizon: „We´re thrilled to have worked with Adrian Goleby for this clip, he´s got fantastic skills and a great sense of vision. The clip itself features a bunch of our good mates from the very cool band HADAL MAW. One of our members decided to dislocate his knee a few hours into the weekend-long shoot… That member was me. I don´t think much was achieved by this but I stand by my decision.“
„The Smothering Arms of Mercy“ ist das erste Album der Australier und markiert den Auftakt zu einer geplanten Album-Trilogie, welche die Themen menschlicher Verbindungen, Trauma, Verzweiflung und der Zerbrechlichkeit der Hoffnung erforschen will. Die Themenwahl kommt nicht von ungefähr, als dass Teile der Band auch schon ihre Erfahrungen mit den (psychischen) Schattenseiten des Lebens gemacht haben.
GROWTH bestehen aus Gitarrist und Bassist Tristan Barnes, dessen Bruder und Drummer Nelson Barnes sowie Sänger Luke Frizon.
„The Smothering Arms of Mercy“ wurde von Fredrik Nordstrom (DREAM EVIL) gemixt und gemastert und wird am 4. Dezember 2020 via Wild Thing Records erscheinen.
