Die Depressive Dark Rock-Band COUNTING HOURS hat nach „Our Triumph“ mit „Blank Sunrise“ einen zweiten Track ihres kommenden Albums „The Will“ veröffentlicht.
Der Song handelt von zwei Menschen, die die Gesellschaft und all ihre Normen verlassen. „There´s mental illness, for sure, but at the same time a certain awareness of what needs to be done“, erklärt die Band. „Physically, they both are slowly decaying, yet there´s no will to prevent that. Finally, when the other one dies, the body is to be carried away from display. They will disappear together. In a way, this is a love story but a very bleak one. Its aim is not to be a statement or anything, it´s just what it is.“
„The Will“ ist das erste Album der Finnen und wurde von Jussi Hämäläinen (HANGING GARDEN) produziert. Das Mastering lag in den Händen von Jaime Gomez Arellano (SEPTIC TANK).
COUNTING HOURS sind die Gitarristen Jarno Salomaa (SHAPE OF DESPAIR, Ex-RAPTURE, Ex-CLOUDS) und Tomi Ullgren (SHAPE OF DESPAIR, IMPALED NAZARENE, RAPTURE), Sänger Ilpo Paasela (THE CHANT), Drummer Sameli Köykkä (CYNABARE URNE, Ex-COLOSSEUM, Ex-SAATTUE) sowie Bassist Markus Forsström (THE CHANT).
